2015 Jeep Cherokee on Pace to Hit Milestones

Unveiled scarcely a year and a half ago, the 2015 Jeep Cherokee is a hit and is on pace to hit major milestones. In 2014, the Cherokee was the second best-selling nameplate in the Jeep lineup. Its sales of nearly 180,000 trailed the sales of the leader, the Grand Cherokee, by just 5,000. The Jeep Cherokee also finished as the third most popular nameplate in the highly competitive lineup of midsized SUVs.

As of April 2015, the Cherokee had actually pulled ahead of the Grand Cherokee, with its sales of 67,000 outpacing those of the Grand Cherokee’s sales of 59,000. Combined with all the other Jeep nameplates, the Cherokee’s success will likely push U.S. sales of the brand overall to 1 million in 2015. The Cherokee’s combination of ruggedness with luxurious comfort and easy drivability have been major factors in its success
